Freediving Instructors International is the leading certification agency with worldwide reach and the only freediving education agency to have its curriculum accepted on a collegate level. Our set of Core Courses focus on effectively developing the essential skills and knowledge for safe and enjoyable freediving. These core courses work as building blocks to develop a strong, long lasting foundation for individual growth and development as a freediver. F.I.I. recognizes and respects the fact that freediving has many faces and people often get into freediving for different reasons. F.I.I addresses these demands by providing Specialty Courses designed to nurture different interests, such as spearfishing, marine interactions, waterman survival (extreme watermen) or even competitive freediving or spearfishing. All our curriculums have been carefully developed to provide the highest quality knowledge base and hands-on practical training.
Freediving Instructors International offers Instructor training from the Level 1 Instructor to Instructor Trainer including various Specialty Upgrades.
F.I.I. Instructors are provided with the following:
FII Level 1 Freediving Instructor Inspire students! This course introduces students to the basic fundamentals of freediving. FII Level 1 Freediving Instructors are trained to competently teach students, utilizing the FII Level 1 Teaching Materials, to dive safely and confidently to a maximum depth of 66 feet/ 20 meters and hold their breath for a maximum time of 3 minutes.
Instructor Prerequisites In order to qualify for the FII Level 1 Instructor examination, the following qualifications must be met: 1. Be a certified F.I.I. Level 1 Freediver (It is mandatory for all I.C's to attain this F.I.I. certification) 2. Be certified in F.I.I. Advanced Freediving Safety 3. Provide a current valid CPR, First Aid and Oxygen Provider certification 4. Be at least 18 years old or older 5. Be a certified F.I.I. Assistant Instructor 6. To be of excellent medical and physical condition with above average swimming skills and display excellent watermanship skills.
Learning Aids for Assistant Instructor and Instructor Course FII Instructor Manual Level 1 Teaching Script for Academic Presentations Level 1 Teaching Script for Confined Water Presentations Level 1 Teaching Script for Open Water Presentations Level 1 PowerPoint Presentation Equipment You Will Use Freediving/spearfishing wetsuit, low volume mask, snorkel, rubber weight belt, weights, long blade freediving fins, freediving computer. Course Duration Level 1 course – 2 days Advanced Freediving safety course – 1 day Assistant Instructor course – 4 days Level 1 Instructor Exam – 2 Days Note: Candidates need to register for all of the above courses. For your convenience, all courses are listed in a block of nine (9) days. The FII Level 1 Freediver certification course can be taken in advance (recommended) from any certified FII Level 1 Instructor.

FII Level 2 Freediving Instructor
Nurture growth! FII Level 2 Freediving Instructors are trained to competently teach students, utilizing the FII Level 2 Teaching Materials, how to unlock their aquatic abilities to dive safely and confidently to a maximum depth of 100ft+ and hold their breath for over 3 minutes.
I In order to qualify for the FII Level 2 Instructor examination, the following qualifications must be met: 1. Be a certified F.I.I. Level 2 Freediver 2. Be a certified FII Level 1 Freediving Instructor

FII Level 3 Freediving Instructor
Incite motivation! FII Level 3 Freediving Instructors are trained to competently teach students, utilizing the FII Level 3 Teaching Materials, how to change their physiology through modern freediving training methods to improve their performance to dive advanced depths & extended breathholds. This is not a competitive freediving course.
I In order to qualify for the FII Level 3 Instructor examination, the following qualifications must be met: 1. Be a certified F.I.I. Level 3 Freediver 2. Be certified a F.I.I. Level 2 Freediving Instructor
